while you check your webmaster tools may be you will face that error, Error : Missing required field "updated", in the structure data tools,   so here we will show for you how to fix this error and most common errors, with few steps, this errors affect your site in search appearance and crawling.

1-go to you blogger that  have the error , my blogs -->  template---> edit html ---> expand widget

2- on edit html on old version of blogger their was expand widget press on it , but new interface their is no          expand widget, so u have to expand the widget manually in all the html , to now how to expand the                widget in new interface click at Expand widget.  

3-after you expand the widget you have to search for the following code : 

   (( Note : to search easily inside the html press ctrl+F )) it will navigate throw what you search fast instead        search line by line. in the search box in html write the line in yellow you find the code easy '' </abbr></a> '' 

find this code may : 

<a class='timestamp-link' expr:href='data:post.url' rel='bookmark' title='permanent link'><abbr class='published' expr:title='data:post.timestampISO8601'><data:post.timestamp/></abbr></a>

replace it with this code  :

<a class='updated' expr:href='data:post.url' rel='bookmark' title='permanent link'><abbr class='updated' expr:title='data:post.timestampISO8601'><data:post.timestamp/></abbr></a>

may be you notice that the differences between the 2 codes in the blue, so u can change that only by replace it by word " updated "  as shown up. 

4-then save template as shown below:

1. this code may be repeated several times so you have to replace it all to solve the issue. 
2. while you try to search for the code in the search box, or you wanna replace it by copy paste from here, may be it will not save because comma " or '  so try to rewrite the comma from your keyword it will save, because during copy paste sometimes this comma change in html.  

After you finish you can check your site also on structure data tools to check if its solve because webmaster  tools take time to update.

You have to follow the following steps:

How to expand widget in new interface blogger

In old blogger interface their was a button to expand widget in HTML in blogger on the top side,

But in the new interface for blogger we don't have this button, so we will show for you how  to expand widget in new interface blogger and do it on easy way.

 1-Go to the blog have the error , my blogs -->  template---> edit html ---> expand widget
   as shown in the image below :

2-  On the HTML you will find behind the number of line a small black arrow as shown in the picture below, where marked by red, this black arrow which mean that code is compression , so to expand it you need to press at that black arrow and it will expand and disappear you have to do it for all the balck arrow to expand your HTML widget.

How to Add Meta Tags description in Every Post in Blogger

Why I need to add meta tags in blogger?

The answer is simple, it will increase the rank for your page in search engine, so it will improve the rank  for your website, by adding meta tag it will display more and the click throw you website will be increased. 

Their is two types of meta tag:

1.  Meta tags description.
2.  Meta tags keywords.

Here I will explain for you the important and what you need in easy way, it's the meta tag description , because the meta tag keywords you don't need it at all, it will not affect the rank for your page in search engine,  you can use label's in your blogger and its more than enough.

How to Add Meta Tags in Blogger : 

1. Go to you blogger --> Settings ---> Search preferences
2. In meta tags section, their is description mark the " enable search description'' by yes a box will appear write your description with limit 150 characters
3. Save changes.

Now go to HTML to add the meta tags in proper way: 

1- Go to your blog---> Template ---> Edit HTML

2- Expand the widget, in old blogger their is button to expand the widget, in new blogger you have to do it manually by following  this blogger How to Expand widget in new blogger. 

 3- Search for  

<title><data:blog.pageTitle/></title>

you will find it after   <head>  few lines. 

 4- Then past this code after it directly: 

<META NAME =”description” CONTENT=” the same description you wrote above in Search preferences ”>

</meta>

 5- Change what is in yellow by the same description you wrote in search preferences. 

 6- Then Save the Template. 

Note: 

During copy past the above code in HTML may be their will be an  error and it will not save some times, so don't worry, you have to rewrite the comma " "  from you keyword because some times its changes during past it in HTML.

Now you mission is done for the meta description tag for the home page, if you need to add meta tags to every post in your blogger this is easy.
